The Amarnath Yatra is a pilgrimage of immense significance for Hindu devotees. The holy cave, nestled at an altitude of approximately 3,888 meters, houses a natural ice lingam of Lord Shiva. Pilgrims undertake this arduous but rewarding trek via two main routes: the shorter Baltal route and the more traditional Pahalgam route.
Seamless Travel to the Holy Shrine: Navigating the mountainous terrain of Kashmir can be challenging. That’s where Kashmir Tour Packages Taxi steps in. We provide dedicated and comfortable taxi services to facilitate your journey to the Amarnath Yatra base camps.
- Srinagar to Baltal Taxi Service: For those opting for the shorter, more direct Baltal route, our taxis offer a comfortable and timely transfer from Srinagar. Baltal serves as the base camp for a 14 km trek to the cave.
- Srinagar to Pahalgam Taxi Service: If you prefer the longer, scenic Pahalgam route, our reliable taxis will transport you from Srinagar to Pahalgam. This route, spanning approximately 48 km from Pahalgam to the cave, is known for its picturesque landscapes and multiple halts.

Do’s:
- Register Early: Ensure you have your Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) and Yatra Permit well in advance. Registration typically opens months before the Yatra.
- Physical Fitness: Undertake regular exercise (daily 4-5 km walk/jog) for at least a month before the Yatra to build stamina.
- Carry Essentials:
- Warm Clothing: Pack sufficient woolen clothes, thermal wear, gloves, and caps as temperatures can drop suddenly, even below 5°C.
- Rain Protection: Carry a waterproof jacket/windcheater, raincoat, and umbrella.
- Footwear: Wear sturdy, waterproof trekking shoes with good grip. Avoid slippers or sandals.
- Personal ID: Always carry your Yatra Permit, RFID card (mandatory), and a valid ID.
- First-Aid Kit: Include basic medicines for fever, pain, altitude sickness, bandages, antiseptic, and any personal medications.
- Energy Food: Pack dry fruits, chocolates, energy bars, glucose, and light, easy-to-digest snacks.
- Water Bottle: Stay hydrated by carrying a water bottle.
- Travel in Groups: Always remain with your group. If separated, inform the nearest police or Yatra official.
- Follow Instructions: Strictly adhere to all instructions and timings announced by the Yatra Administration, including entry/exit times at control gates.
- Respect Environment: Dispose of waste in designated bins. Avoid littering. Plastic is generally banned or restricted in the region.

Don’ts:
- No Shortcuts: Never attempt shortcuts on the trekking routes; they are dangerous and can lead to accidents.
- Age Restrictions: Children below 13 years and elderly persons above 70 years are generally not permitted to undertake the Yatra due to its strenuous nature. Pregnant women beyond 6 weeks are also not allowed.

- No Littering/Pollution: Do not throw coins, chunnis, or metal pots inside the Holy Cave or pollute the surrounding areas.
- No Smoking/Alcohol: Consumption of alcohol, tobacco, and non-vegetarian food is strictly prohibited during the Yatra.

- No Ignoring Symptoms: Do not ignore symptoms of high-altitude sickness (headache, nausea, dizziness, breathlessness). Seek medical help immediately.
