Best time for your shikara ride

Mornings (around 7–10 AM) offer calm water and soft light, ideal for photos, while early evenings (4–6 PM) bring gentle sunset colours over the Zabarwan hills. Is the shikara ride really free, or is it a discount?

It’s genuinely complimentary. The government fixes shikara fares per boat, and we pay that fare on your behalf when you book the 5N/6D Etios package — you are not charged for it separately.

Can I extend the ride beyond one hour?

Yes. The complimentary portion covers one hour; any additional time, the early-morning floating vegetable market route, or a Nigeen Lake extension can be added at the boatman’s current notified per-hour rate, payable directly on the ghat.

Do I need to book the shikara slot in advance?

Yes — slots at popular ghats fill up quickly in peak season, so we recommend confirming your travel dates with us by WhatsApp as soon as your package is booked so we can reserve a boat for you.

Does this offer apply to other vehicle packages too?
