When Will the Tulip Garden Open in 2027?
Between 2023 and 2026 the garden opened as early as 16 March and as late as 26 March. A mild, sunny end to winter brings the tulips up early, as in 2026; a cold or wet March pushes the opening later. The department inspects the beds and announces the date once enough of the garden is in flower, usually five to ten days before opening.
If you are booking flights and hotels now, plan for the last week of March or the first ten days of April 2027. Those dates have fallen inside the season in every recent year, and early April is usually the peak bloom.

The garden is open every day of the season from 9 AM to 7 PM. Tickets are sold at the gate. The 2027 ticket prices will be confirmed when the season is announced, so treat the 2026 rates as a guide.
How Long Is the Tulip Season?
Usually about four to five weeks. In 2024 the garden opened on 23 March and closed on 24 April. Early varieties open first, most of the beds are in full colour in the first half of April, and the last flowers fade in the second half of April. Daffodils, hyacinths and muscari bloom alongside the tulips.
